Swedish Massage A series of light stroking motions followed by deeper movements intended to reduce tension, improve circulation, relieve swelling and decrease or alleviate muscular soreness. The five basic movements involved are:
Shiatsu Finger pressure applied to energy meridians within the body to balance the energy flow that may be blocked or restricted in certain areas. Sports Therapy Speeds up the recovery process from an injury and decreases muscular soreness. Also used prior to workouts to stimulate circulation or calm nervous tension. Medical Massage Used to treat a variety of different injuries and illnesses. It is extremely important to inform the massage therapist of your diagnosed problem to be massaged correctly. Deep Tissue Massage Deep Tissue therapists look for shortened muscles and/or distorted postural patterns. With slow deep strokes, the therapist works to lengthen the muscle fibers, to restore balance, and to reestablish structural and functional integrity to the greatest degree possible for the client. Deep Tissue Massage increases range of motion and restores economy of motion. Reflexology Reflexology is a powerful, natural health science that studies the relationship of the reflex areas in the feet, hands and ears to the rest of the body so that these areas can be worked on with the fingers and thumbs in a manner that will lead to improved health and the maintenance of good health. Aromatherapy The use of volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being. All sessions are administered by trained and licensed professionals and are scheduled for 55-minute sessions, for maximum benefits. 25-minute full body and 10-minute chair massage sessions are available as well. Please note: It is our suggestion for you to not eat two hours prior to a session unless otherwise instructed by your doctor. And before a session, a warm soapy shower is required.
