Yacht FAQ

Q: How early do I have to be at the dock?
A: In order to ensure that no one misses the boat, we ask that you arrive at the dock half an hour prior to the scheduled departure time.

Q: Where is the boat docked?
A: Skyport Marina located at East 23rd Street, on the East River, off FDR Dr.

Q: Where does the cruise go?
A: There is no set route; the captain navigates Manhattan's waterways at his own discretion. However, the Statue of Liberty is always on the agenda!

Q: When do the regularly scheduled member cruises sail?
A: Wednesday Cruises sail 6:30-9pm, Friday Cruises (July & Aug only) sail 6:30-9:30pm, Saturday Cruises sail 6-9pm & Sunday Cruises sail from noon-2pm.

Q: What is the cancelation policy?
A: In order to refund your money, we need at least 24 hours notice. This is strictly enforced as our caterer, in turn, requires this of us.  You can cancel by logging into your user account and canceling your reservation from within your reservation list by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by calling 212-220-0764 & leaving a message (all at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time).

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: We do go out RAIN OR SHINE; the Captain cancels only if he deems the weather to be a safety hazard. In the rare instance that this should happen, your money will be refunded.  If it looks like rain, you might want to bring a poncho.

Q: How many people can I bring on the yacht?
A: If attending a Friday, Saturday or Sunday Cruise, each member is allowed to bring up to 10 members as guests for the member rate.  On Wednesdays, the number of guests a member can bring is doubled to 20 people.

Q: How do Guest Passes work?
A: If you have Yacht Guest Passes, it means that you have been a member with us for at least a couple of years - we appreciate your loyalty!  However, to better serve our members, we have done away with guest passes.  There is now NO LIMIT to the number of cruises a member can attend in a season.  HRC Members and their allotted 10 guests never need a guest pass to make a reservation or to board the yacht and will never be charged the $50 boarding fee.  So if you have unused guest passes, feel free to toss `em and join us out on the yacht as many times as you'd like!

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: There is no dress code; the atmosphere is informal. However, it is highly recommended that guests wear flat-soled shoes for comfort and keep in mind that it can get breezy out on the water.

Q: Are there vegetarian options in the buffet?
A: Yes. The buffet includes plenty of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters.
